Leona Helsmsley's will

Leona Helsmsely willed her Maltese dog, Trouble, $12 million. The entire trust of $5 billion and $8 billion. They said Mrs. Helmsely's trustees may distribute her money. They also said that the statement and wishes were not legally binding. She had two wishes for her money, but they next year she changed it to only one, for the care and welfare of dogs. She had only five people in her will: her brother, two grandsons, her lawyer, and her long-time friend. After her family found out about her will to her dog, many death threats were said about the dog. Trouble now has to be protected and costs $100,000 a year. Judge Roth ended up giving her grandchildren $6 million. I honestly know where she is coming from about protecting dogs and loving her dog so much. My dog just got hit by a car last night and is in bad shape. Maltese's also are very expensive and I believe she left the money for her dog just in case something happens to it. Although I love my dog, I think it would be crazy to leave money to her. She should've been thinking about her family and their well-being.

I would never have gave a dog no kind of money like that.

She thought about her dog before she did her family. To me family comes over any animal. Im not saying that I wouldnt do anything for a animal my family comes first.

How much money do you think it actually takes to care for a dog?? She should have divided the money between the family and maybe organized something for the dog.
